Armenia’s innovative ecosystem is achieving new successes. The Armenian startups Reeducate and Empy have advanced to the national semifinals of the Digital Startup Award 2025 in the Best Startup Project category and will soon compete in the finals in Tashkent. The competition is organized by IT-Park Uzbekistan (StartupBase) and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, with the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and Enterprise Armenia serving as the program’s Armenian partners. The event took place in the Engineering City.

Reeducate: An Armenian Startup Making Education Innovative and Accessible

The Armenian startup Reeducate has reached the semifinals of the Best Startup Project category of the Digital Startup Award 2025 and will soon participate in the finals in Tashkent. The startup was founded by Harut Gevorgyan, who believes that education should evolve as rapidly as technology.

Reeducate is designed for teachers, students, and education professionals. The platform allows users to create and utilize educational content using AI in the form of lessons, quizzes, and exercises.

“A teacher can register on the platform, search for something like ‘heart structure,’ and in one second receive a 3D model, lesson text, and a quiz. In other words, with just one click, they have a ready-made lesson. Currently, over 10,000 models are available. In addition, teachers can create new materials themselves and determine the structure of the lesson,” explains Harut Gevorgyan.

The platform also enables virtual experiments. For example, a student can combine two chemical elements and see the resulting reaction, making lessons more visual, experimental, and engaging.

According to Harut, the platform is designed to be used by both young teachers and experienced professionals. Currently, a few private schools in Armenia use Reeducate, but the team aims to introduce the platform to international markets as well.

“There are many similar platforms, but our advantage is that everything can be done in one place—lesson planning, creating quizzes and tests, developing exercises. With this platform, you both learn and test your knowledge,” he emphasizes.

Harut adds that capturing students’ attention and making lessons interesting is not easy. Teachers invest significant effort to keep the learning process engaging, and Reeducate helps do this without unnecessary complications.

Moreover, the platform can also address teacher shortages in schools, enabling education to continue even without a teacher’s constant presence.

Empy: A Startup Transforming Business Communication

The Armenian startup Empy, founded by Aram Shahbandaryan, is the other Armenian team that advanced to the semifinals in the Best Startup Project category of the Digital Startup Award 2025.

Aram, an entrepreneur with many years of experience in marketing and technology, believes that the key to success lies in effective communication.

Empy’s co-founder is Denis, who resides in Lisbon, Portugal. Aram and Denis faced the same challenge: inefficient communication often hindered collaboration and investment processes. This experience became the foundation for creating Empy.

Empy was born from a simple idea: to help professionals, founders, and sales teams communicate more effectively with partners, investors, and clients. The platform is an AI-powered tool that analyzes conversations in real-time and provides guidance to improve communication.

“During negotiations or sales processes, Empy listens to the conversation, identifies mistakes, and gives real-time suggestions on how to fix them. After the meeting, the system sends a detailed report showing what went well, what needs improvement, and how to do better next time,” explains Aram.

Currently, a community of over 3,000 business founders is testing the platform and sharing feedback. Although Empy is not officially launched yet, it is already available for trials. The startup has also raised $165,000 in investment, including funding from the former Executive Director of Uber for the CIS region.

According to Aram, Empy not only analyzes every call but also learns from each user, becoming smarter and more personalized. “Our goal is to change how people build relationships in business. We want Empy to become a communication intelligence that helps people improve their human connections, regardless of distance,” he emphasizes.

Empy plans to expand its capabilities in customer service, recruitment, and account management. The team works remotely but plans to establish its main office in Armenia soon. “I’ve come a long way, but today I am sure—I want to build my team here, in Armenia,” says the founder.

The Empy team is already collaborating with several companies in the U.S. and Canada, including one of Canada’s largest business education centers, where more than 4,000 students will use Empy to develop their communication skills.
